mo’ cricket (beard, tache or mullet cricket)
Whether or not you play these on your stag weekend is up to you, Mo’ Cricket is just a great drinking game. It should be played in a non-offensive way, at no time should your “run getters” (ie those sporting facial hair or a particular hairstyle) be offended. If they are the game is over and in the spirit of sportsmanship you should offer an unreserved apology, as well as perhaps some congratulation on their styling.
So here are the basic rules:
The Environment
Any will do, but you have to have the footfall. A busy bar, pub or alfresco cafe is ideal.
Who can play?
Anybody, there are no restrictions. But you can be disqualified / sent off.
How to play
Set up your ideal viewing position and be ready. You get 3 wickets and score until you are out. You can win by collective scoring e.g. once you reach 100 points it’s cause for celebration and drinks all round or 2 sides can play against each other.
How to score?
Basically when you spot somebody with run potential you confer with your fellow players and score accordingly.
The scoring
1. point for a ‘mo (moustache)
2. points for a purvey mo’
3. for a handle bar
4. for a goatee
5. for a full beard
6. for a ginger beard
7. for a mullet
8. for a rat tail (they’re rare these days)
and a big 10 for a Kenny Rogers – If you actually see legend Kenny Rogers you win regardless! Game on!
How to get out
There are variations such as …
- Phil or Grant Mitchell look-a-likes
- beard before, an unspotted beard – this is where after 60 seconds the opposing team brings it to your attention
- caught, ie the run-getter spots you scoring off him
So in a nutshell this is beard cricket, play fair, be nice – remember it’s a non-offensive sport, and enjoy!

Cheese Rolling – it’s dangerous and all you get is a cheese at the end of it … if you win.

International Bobsleigh - it’s the real deal and real frightening, go in winter for the biggest thrill.

The Cresta Run – are you mad? You could seriously injure yourself.

Cage Diving – what are you thinking about, don’t you want to get married?
http://www.sharkcagediving.net/
Parachuting – why would you and why would you put the lads through it?
http://www.bpa.org.uk/
Bull Running – mental, there’s usually enough BS on the stag weekend without the bulls themselves!

Tough Guy – who in their right mind would want to do this on a stag weekend when you could be having a laugh.

Doing nothing – That’s the most foolhardy of all.
Anyone of these could make you extremely unpopular and they’re not recommended, as we say they’re foolhardy and could be dangerous – can you believe people do this. If you intend on doing one of these – take advice first, consult your doctor (and possibly your shrink) to check your health and make sure you have insurance (and that it covers you!).

After a long and memorable stag weekend Monday is often a struggle, and if you’ve really hit it that struggle often pushes into Tuesday and Wednesday. Let’s face it, a loaded stag do with the boys is one of life’s special occasions but gentlemen, enthusiastic indulgence on the stag weekend can lead to a little under performance for a couple of days when you get back.
So what can you do to avoid the Monday morning drop that follows an incredible stag weekend high? Hangovers are a science, but here are a few (non-medically referenced) in house tips that in our opinion may help …
1. drink lots of water throughout the weekend itself and then from the moment you get back for the next 48 hours
2. have the fridge stocked for when you return home with a some tasty hangover beating grub
3. don’t forget the healthy stuff either, lots of fruit, fruit juice and salad
4. put in your mind a 2-3 day de-tox, no booze, fags, chocolate, burgers, fast / bad food etc
5. decent sleep, try and get at least 8 hours a night for the next 3 nights
6. hit the gym or go for a run, you won’t feel like it but you’ll definitely feel better afterwards
7. try to avoid confrontation, whether it’s the Mrs, the girlfriend, family or anyone else, just take it on the chin until you’re back on form
8. make a list of what you need to do, it’s likely the short term memory may also take a little break
9. and finally arrange to take a half-day or full day off for when you get back
You’ll be right as rain in a few days and ready for the next stag weekend! If you’re planning one, get in touch.

stag pranks, dares, forfeits
What stag night is complete without games involving dares and forfeits? They’re a great opportunity to set up some prime humiliation for the stag.
You might want to give some thought to these in advance or just see what you can come up with one the night, there is also this handy pack of dare cards to help you come up with some ideas.
A stag night forfeit can range from the simple buying everyone a drink to the total humiliation of being made to wear the infamous Borat mankini!
With all of your dares and forfeits, be sure to stay within the confines of the law, we’ve all read the stories about stags nearly missing their weddings because they’ve been arrested in a foreign country for public indecency and you wouldn’t want to be the one responsible for that!
